One thing I read on another site about polishing aluminum is the amount of time you spend polishing one spot. It is important when you get down to the final finish (with Nuvite S) that you do a small amount of polish and a quick touch with the polisher. If you hold the polisher in one spot too long, you will start to get scratches. A clean polisher pad is important as any dust or hardened polish causes swirls, spider webs and holograms.

I have not had luck trying to polish with microfiber by hand. I always get little microfiber streaks in it.
