Default TKO 600 Question - See Photo

I had a clutch problem and decided to put in a McLoud Kit. I pulled the TKO 600 and found these wear patterns on the snout. It looks like the throw out bearing has been riding on the snout and caused the discoloration and light grooving. The old King Cobra set-up all but disintegrated, so I'm not sure what when on in there in the final days, but it wasn't good.

I'm replacing everything inside the shield except the clutch fork and pivot ball. Should I be concerned with this wear on the snout and replace it while I'm at it. Is there any chance of less than smooth operation of the TOB sliding on this snout? This is a new one for me, so I'm hoping it's no big deal.

Thanks, Wayne in Gilroy, CA
