Ron, they deserve what they find. I'm just not in the camp of guilt and culpability. I do not appologize for Japan (A-bomb), slavery, Native American abuses, etc. Sometimes, I think it would be an interesting thought experiment to play with: Imagine if we could erase all the really big, negative historical actions (without consequence)... not them actually, just knowledge of them. Really wipe it out. In 70 years or so, most of the oral tradition regarding these events would be gone as well. Blacks would have no memory of slavery and racism as we know (knew it). And so on.
If people did not have these anchors in their lives, then how much better off would we all be? Unfortunately, once an agrieved person finds out about the anchor, they start dragging it around with them. Then appologists come along and help fasten it securely to that person's body. Thats called being an enabler.
We try not to do that to our kids, and we should stop doing it to others as well. The only reason people continue to live in perpetuity as victims is because we give legs to their victimhood. AND NOBODY TODAY was ever there. Its stupid and wrong headed to continue this.

Mike,
I don't feel guilty about any of that stuff, I just thought that they deserved the
oil. Now I just wonder what our Govt. will do with it. Probably sell it to some other country for half of what we pay for
oil. Heck, I think that any race or group that has the good fortune they had deserves that. By the way, I enjoyed your Pig story. Now I know why you are such a good runner.
Ron
