Exactly as Calbullet said.
Replacements are you best option dollar for dollar.
Send me an email and I'll send you some information (pdf) on rerouting the temp sensor line.
FYI: The smallest electrical arc to the sensor line can make a microscopic hole that allows the gas inside to escape rendering the gauge dead. Extreme care in making bends too. kinks cause leaks too.
