I don´t think so. A lot of iron + aluminum combos are running trouble free all over the world. In germany - with no general highway speed limit - too. Take good head gaskets and you´re doing fine.
Keith Craft is building me a 468FE with Pond iron block, Stage-2 heads and solid flat tappet cam right now. As patrickt said: The shorter 4.125 stroke let the motor rev easier and piston speed is lower. OK, 482 has a bit more punch (especially torque), good for a cruiser, but with a cobra I will not cruise all the time and a 468 burns the tires too.
