Rick, I think that is right, hot water from the motor, not from/after the radiator. It APPEARS that I have a second port beside, behind or nearly under the distributor, mostly it's covered up by the front carb. Gonna be real tight getting a fitting in there. I might move my temp sensor to that hole and use the temp sensor hole to the intake side of the heater, through the heater valve first of course.
I suspect heater hose fittings were not a big priority when Ford designed the Hi Rise intake.
