Our family will be cruising to Alaska in early July so I'm kicking around the idea to go there in late July , early August for three weeks. I do remember the frost heaves and yes, we too received a broken windshield only 200 miles from Anchorage- a semi going the other way threw a large rock at us. Do you want to come along and re-live some memories ?

Sounds like a fun trip - but, I think that after the winter we've had here in SW CO, I'll head for Tucson instead....we still have about 6 feet of snow off the back deck. But thanks for the opportunity! We made 4 trips to Alaska last year....
