I'm not exactly sure what a "Solid Oil Band" is other than what they say in their literature (that it controls oil flow), but it is clearly not the same as the EDM oiling holes. Their Elite Series does not have the solid oil band, and they brag about the advantages of that, but it does have the EDM oil holes.
