I thought that too, although I am by no means a SOHC authority. I did have access to 2 crate engines in the early 70s and they were both lash cap adjusted. I thought it was odd that they would have been the rare ones, especially since they were purchased at the H&M garage sale.
I may still even have a few lash caps in my shop. I may look. I imagine the new re-pops use adjustable rockers for ease of maintenance.
