It makes perfect sense to me. I have my own machine shop and in our cnc machines we run a water saluable coolent where you mix water with special oil additive. When you blend the two you MUST put the oil in a bucket and add the water. If you fill the bucket 1st then add the oil the experts say it will not mix properly. I thought this was a bunch of bull poop because i have done it that way for years. But i was proven wrong and could actually see the difference. I am not a scientist but i just called Klotz and they told me the exact same thing that these additives are not even close the the same as the real thing and they as well mentioned that base oil needs to be at certain temp the the zink and phosferous to blend properly and not seperate. Don't take my word for it call them. The reason i started this post was not to try and save money on oil but to buy the best oil i could for my application. I have over 20 g's and buy paying a few extra dollars on the right oil is a small price to pay. Just my opinion.
