One thing left out is the condition of the track. My brother-n-law has been around drag racing all his life and works at track. From what he tells me, they put different coatings down on the track for different type events. Some are much more tacky than others. They never change the coatings for local minor events, just the big events. So the track is the luck of the draw for us. It depends on what the last major event was and how long ago it happened.

Altitude of the track can make a big difference as well.
