Tru, My heart goes out to you. I understand completely what you are going through right now. Monday morning I am taking my 17+ year old cat for the same thing. He is a Norwegian Forest Dweller...at his prime he was 24lbs and when standing up on his back legs "at the kitchen counter" was 3' tall. I've had him since he was 6 weeks old. But now he is 8 lbs., deaf and very feeble and I fear his kidneys must be failing. It is no different than losing a family member but I can not let him suffer so I know it's necessary.
