Ron, seems to me that is a "new" company that has acquired a Shelby license for marketing purposes. No doubt Luft would have been the one who made the deal, by the way. Anyone can buy a license deal from Shelby and use the name, for whatever product you want to sell. Like say, an SPF. Use of the name doesn't necessarily change the product or make it better in some way, it is what it is and carries a "brand name". Many folks see value in that.
I wonder how many of the players from the old "Unique" are involved with the "new" company, by the way... The name has changed, have the players?
I hear ACORN has recently changed it's name in many cities and areas as well. Business as usual, same players, same marketing, new name.
That was NOT a political point, just a comparison of how companies change and remain the same.
