The new law is very clear. It states the car must have a title or Manufacturer's Certificate of origin for the frame, engine and transmission. If you do not have those, you are going to have to get two appraisals and then have the car bonded for 1.5% of it's higher appraised value.

So you're looking at spending another $1,000 to be licensed in NC as a 1965 Replica. It sucks. A friend of mine went through this recently. I called the DMV and they told me the same thing. HTH
