That is the same one that I watched and several times the spotter said high when there were cars above him. With all of the chatter and trying to watch as well as you can, the driver needs as few terms used as possible. Clear High or Low is good and High or Low meaning there are cars there is good, at least in my opinion.

One other thing that we haven't discussed is that it is hard for the spotters on a track that large to really be able to determine if a car coming toward them is clear by a few inches or not. Spotting is not an easy job for sure. In this case it wasn't a factor, but remember the crew chief is also on the radio a lot. I remember one race where Earnheart Jr.told them to all shut up, he couldn't understand them as they were all saying different things and it just made it hard to concentrate.
