I think it`s (now) quite clear...
A rolling 96" chassis supplied 'as is' by AC Cars of Thames Ditton ca.1969, which remained unbuilt until commisioned by Dr.Kravitz, when a brand new body & structural parts were made, by respected specialists in the field.
Attention to detail finding New Old Stock or original spec (MSD excepted!) parts, and a really nice car being the result.

The issue of original Cobras having lesser or greater repairs/rebuilds is 'usually' recorded in the registries, and reflects in their values & desireability.
