Nik - I agree in general, but would have to draw a distinction between a chassis that was given a VIN within a particular series and was also constructed into something other than a Cobra, vs. one that has a unique VIN and was never finished beyond the bare chassis stage. With the former, you are deconstructing in order to rebuild. The closest comparables that come to mind, as has been previously mentioned, are the Paramount chassis, COB/X 6128 - 6132, which were built by AC as stretched bare chassis , but with VIN's in the AC 289 range of cars.

I believe Trevor has most succinctly determined how to refer to the car.
