Such comparisons are always problematic, the details can have so many variables you just take such comparisons with a grain of salt anyway. Even if this had been under competition at the time, still, to many variables to really make much of it one way or the other.
U-Tube is filled with such examples, "ricer" beats Z0-6, etc. etc. Any given day, time, place, who's driving, under what circumstances, eh, makes for good press though. Gotta love bench racing!
By the way, my initial impression of this particular comparison left me wondering if the BDR was supercharged? Not that it makes a lot of difference one way or the other, but the sound of the engine seems to indicate less than full rpm is being used. Not really "going for it" just based on the sound. Super charger delivers substantial power at lower rpm's, which is why I was wondering if that's what he was running.
