I was at the track on Saturday. Not Sunday. There was a race for these cars both days.

The Saturday race I saw had the red Superformance GT-40 driven by Dennis Olthoff leading from the start. He was closely pursued by a Porsche 911. After a few laps the 911 was in front. Next lap, Dennis was in front and he won the race. Someone told me Dennis spun somewhere on the track and that is how he temporarily got behind the Porsche.

The Backdraft Cobras were well behind all this. They looked real strong and were well driven. But Dennis was in a league of his own. I was on the exit of turn one. It looked like he could take pretty much any line he wanted through this very fast turn.

All of these cars were well prepared and well driven.

The Gulf colored GT40 was never a factor. Well back.

It was a great day at the track. Lots of Cobras in attendance. All kinds. Factory Five, Backdraft and Superformance had displays. Perfect day in fact.

I don't know what happened on Sunday.
