Next lap, Dennis was in front and he won the race. Someone told me Dennis spun somewhere on the track and that is how he temporarily got behind the Porsche.

The Backdraft Cobras were well behind all this. They looked real strong and were well driven. But Dennis was in a league of his own. I was on the exit of turn one. It looked like he could take pretty much any line he wanted through this very fast turn.

All of these cars were well prepared and well driven.

The Gulf colored GT40 was never a factor. Well back.

It was a great day at the track. Lots of Cobras in attendance. All kinds. Factory Five, Backdraft and Superformance had displays. Perfect day in fact.

I don't know what happened on Sunday.

Dennis Olthoff in a GT40 is going to be pretty hard to beat. He recorded the fastest race lap at the Sebring SVRA event.

2010 SVRA Sebring Vintage Race - Olthoff fastes lap in class

The BDR and SPF GT40 comparisons are fun, but it's really just bench racing when it comes down to it.

BTW - Here's a link to Sports Car Digest with a story and some nice pics of the event: http://www.sportscardigest.com/hsr-m...photo-gallery/

I like the pic of AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson who finished second in his 1970 Royale RP2
