I agree. THe "vintage racing" orginizers are coming to the real world fact that more and more of the "original" vintage cars will not be thrashed about on the race track. without "continuation" and "replica" cars the fields will be soon be empty.
But a "Backdraft Cup" car is a different class than a GT40 or an original Cobra FIA car and to insinuate that just because they are on track at the same time, they are racing in the same class is misleading. While Olthoff's GT40 is not from 1966 it is much closer to a 1966 MK II than a BDR Cup car is to a 1966 Cobra MK III comp car.
No hard feelings, just wamt to make people understand the reality.
People will choose the car that s right for them be it SPF, BDR or Street Beasts. I have said before the best car for anyone is the one they are happy with.
