I have 3 sets if tires, mounted on different rims for my supercharged Miata. Swapping back and forth gives me completely different handling characteristics. The fat, sticky tires are best for auto crossing, but the middle sized tires give me the best feel for carving the back roads.
The Radial T/As are not a good tire for Cobras (some suggest they are downright dangerous--due to lack of traction). I suggest you consider upgrading your tires to Avons, Billboards, or drag radials (one of the best performance upgrades you can make to your car).
