thanks for the help.

I arrived at the same solution - I terminated the 12 ga red power wire with a ring terminal and attached it to the fused side of the Kwik Wire harness power wire (10 ga.), which attaches to the battery side of the starter solenoid. The 10 ga. wire should be able to handle the extra 6 amps that the ignition box will pull at WOT and 6k RPMs.

Thanks for the gouge that the tach wire changes color in the harness.....I think I remember Jeremy mentioning that on the phone.

I have spark (at the right time, too!) and the engine turns over with the key....not much more to go!
