I was looking at his early number and thinking it was a trailing arm or radius rod issue. If the lower control arm has cracked it may well be a modified (shotened) arm that has issues. The E-type width ones started to get hard to find so they were chopping them down from XJ6 or whatever. The only way to shorten those arms is the right way like ERA does it. These guys have all given good advice and understand if that breaks the suspension collapses with horrendous results. I have an original E-type lower control arm here if that will help you.
