Good post Steve, still, I think this is this an exceptional event as it relates to the vast majority of cars and replicas in particular. The Fox body Stang is not only heavier but is widely used specifically for drag racing purposes. No doubt slicks or very high traction tires were used in the example posted here.
Few replicas will see such torture, fewer still will be running slicks or very high grip tires. Making it almost certain tire slip will occur before a lug nut sheer condition. Certainly will never happen running Goodrich TA's, no way you could get enough traction to sheer a four lug on straight line acelleration!
But like I said earlier, IF I was seriously going racing, I'd swap out to a five lug.
