Taylor "409" Spiro Pro Race wire (10.4mm) on my car.
IMHO, Taylor makes a first-quality product.

If you go with Taylor, here are a couple of tips I learned, since I just went through changing my wires:

1)Buy the pro-grade ratcheting stripper-crimper pliers and you'll save alot of time and get a factory-type job. Don't buy the cheap ones or the "stipper/crimper blocks" that are used in a vice. Taylor has them all on their website. www.taylorvertex.com

2)If you have a modern "HEI" distributor cap and don't want the standard HEI-type boots with the nipple on the top, order a set of the "Low Profile HEI boots. A cleaner look, for me anyways..

My 2 cents.....
