Hi Mr. Bruce. My two cents. I have a six speed richmond in my car and have a shifting problem under full throttle. The trans is only rated for 450 hp and 450 tor. Billy glidden is using a liberty trans 5 sp in his car with some old style slipper clutches from his dads pro stock days of racing. I am going to a G-Force trans myself because of the multi gears that can be used in it. Dave S has a great car and uses a G-Force with mid 3 something gears and the car pulls hard in all gears. Stacy Pendergas used a T-rex 4 speed in his cobra and with his car it works also very good. If you break a G-force
they have all the parts in stock and will over night you the parts. To pull the trans apart all you need is snap ring pliers, basic tools, and RTV sealant to do the repairs. I think that the shifter comes with that trans as part of the price. You can also put a trans cooler on it to help in road racing. I am not a big fan of automatics but they have their go points also George Andreson has one in his car and it dones all the races at Run@Gun with no failures A C6 trans is very strong.
