When ordering or asking about Jag parts, it's important to use the correct nomenclature. That specific part is called a Stub Axle Carrier and if you have the short stub shatfs then it's for a series III E Type,I believe. If you ask for a steering arm, they'll wonder what you're talking about. The Official Jaguar "E" book by Robert Bentley has an excellent parts break down that will lend assistance and provide the correct nomenclature for front end and rear end parts.
