My first new car was a '64 Corvette convertible. My favorite option was "real" knock-off wheels, and JWD is correct, no safety pins. I hate seeing white walls on these wheels, I opted for the racy all black Firestone 500s
. But the wheels *really* looked cool when I installed a set of Goodyear Blue Streak Speedway Specials. Seven inches of tread, although the rubber was hard as rock. But still cool. I'll have to dig up an old photo for ya. By the way, I have those Mickmate clips on my Cobra, but only as backup. Gots to have safety wire, just in case. Rich
