I have a set of bumperettes on my CRII. I was involved in an accident (involving 4 cars) with car #3 being pushed into the rear bumperettes. Before I got out of my car the one thought that went through my mind was; "bumperettes are useless!" Imagine my surprise when I found that the bumperettes had taken all the damage and NO fiberglass or paint suffered any damage.
The front 5 mph bumper of the Civic was heavily damaged.
I guess I got lucky again.
