Well actually, you can install it either way depending upon the bellhousing. If the pivot ball was on the drivers side, I would install the cylinder pointing towards the back. Works either way.

Also, there's no frame clearance issues on the Lonestar either way. I think there is a mix of hydraulic bearings and slave cylinder set-ups. Lots of pros and cons either way. You can search the archives for the previous discussions on the topic. Since LSC went with the longer throw hydraulic cylinder, there have been fewer problems.
