After a long evaluation. Longer than I wanted. I decided to go with Larry's design with a minor modification. I'm going with 1/4" rods and chrome rod ends. I also added an extra layer of fiberglass where the bearings bolt through the firewall. It was very tempting to just go with the cable but Larry's design was just so logical.
