Not Ranked
Well the problem is Pony did them once before and the owner swears they haven't been just right ever since. They ran good but not the way they were before the rebuild?? The engine builder set all this up and has since passed. The carbs from carls are of course re issues of the correct carbs and are run in at Holley. I know from looking at other threads your not a huge fan of them but I finding myself stuck. To go out and get these expertly redone is $1500 or so with new bushings and all. The carbs from Carl's are $1050 and most have good response from them. But, I know friends that have these same type of carbs and go through them on a regular base! I swear if it wasn't for the WOW factor I would just go and put a medium riser/ single carb on it and go!
I know others have used a newer aluminum based dual carbs and I don't think the owner would care as much with that. Just as long as it delivered the power and drive-ability he wants. Thanks for the help! Matt
