All good information and advice. If you had a 427 block not the 428 I would say keep that. It would be a regret to put the 428 in that is for sure- even if it were free and you just lost all your money to "Hope & Change". Go 427- it is the soul of the car! I have all iron 427 S/O but I have less than 5K in the damn thing and all I need. But when Kirkham get the all the bad guys out of congres and they finish the billet 427 block that is what it will have. If I bought new I would go all aluminum. Good luck with the build.
