Normally about 7 degrees off. Really easy to address. Use a piston stop to properly locate TDC. Then use a die grinder/cut off wheel to trim the factory FE pointer back to the matching position for the marks on the damper. No need for tape or memorization. Take longer to describe than it does to do.
