I have priced building an engine and let me tell you this, the margins are razor thin and when you throw in warranty repairs, I dont see why anyone would be in the business. It like I was told when I first looked at Cobra's, if you want to build one great you will be doing it for the love of labor, you will save no money as compared to a roller. Same with engines, you want to build one yourself, it will be for pride not because you will save money, in the end you will spend more then if you paid an "expert".
