I think some key points and details are not mentioned or considered in this thread. Like the trans type and gear rations, header size, type of muffler, type of aircleaner, the rear end, eg. running a 3.x to a 4.y is a hugh difference. So it's not just engine dyno HP and torque, but the complete package needs to be part of your considertion.... e.g., trans, rear end, tires, CAM, what you want to do with the car, drive style, and actual HP/torque to the rear tires to the road. I just had my DART 351w block, 427ci dyno'd.... it was ~560 torque at 4400 RPM and 563 HP at 6500 RPM.... but that means little for now until you add all the moving parts and the air restrictions metioned above. I'll have a JAG IRS rear end with a 3.73 posi traction and a TKO600 with a .82 5th gear. Once I get the car complete, I'll have it dyno'd to see what's put on the road.
