Default Texas Title and Registration

You don't have anything to worry about. Do a search of the Texas Forum on Title and Registration .. lots of experience here. I posted my Collin County process here:
Texas registration - engine age

There are some forms to bring, and they are mentioned in the above thread. Have receipts for your body/frame, engine, and tranny. They want to be sure you aren't using stolen parts. Do a pencil tracing of the chassis number, and the engine block number if no VIN is on it. You will certify that you were the person who built the car. Your MCO from Factory Five will be surrendered. Your car will be a "2010 Assembled Vehicle" or ASVE. This is what your title will say. If you had your insurance agent list your car as a "1965 Ford Cobra Replica" or whatever is the usual year for a Daytona, then they will put a comment on your title to that effect. But you will not be registered as a vintage car, and you will have to be safety inspected yearly. But ... you will be inspected as a 1965 Ford
