Are you sure about the rating, as in one of the catalogues I looked at, apart from specifying the wire cross section, number of strands etc. it also stated that for a 150mm length it is rated at continuous 24amp and 40amp failure, which seemed about right as it is only wired up to a 55amp alternator. I certainly don't want to under rate it otherwise I will be forever replacing it, and conversely I don't want to overate it for fear of letting all the smoke escape. From your experience what should I be using?
