Do NOT put a fusable link in your car! There are probably videos on youtube of the violent fire that they produce when they blow. I have seen it and it's not pretty. You do not want that happening under your hood, especially if it's a fiberglass car. You might as well just light a road flare and throw that it instead. Manufacturers have stopped using them for exactly that reason.

You should just use 10 gauge wire from your alternator to your battery and another to your fuse block. Make sure the wire is well supported (at least every 12 inches) and protected by wire loom tubing. If you have any questions about wiring, I will be happy to help.
