Default Rear End Leak

I have one of Tom's Motorsports steel rear end covers for my Jag rear end that was modified and included a breather and hose. I mounted the breather high in the left rear fender well and had not had any leaking or weeping from the breather. I pulled the tires to do my annual visual check and noticed the entire wheel well had a coating of gear oil and the breather was wet. The hose is around four feet long with a 3/4" diameter and I have a hard time believing that I'm pushing that much oil out of the rear end. The modified cover has a splash guard so that should not be an issue. I still need to check the fluid level, but has anyone had trouble like this?

Thanks,

Jason
