I have taken to always using the speedo function as our limits are posted in kilometers per hr. (speedo in MPH)
I found while cruising the variable speed limits in many areas just were too distracting constantly doing the mental conversion from MPH to KPH.
This practice is more accurate & allows one to enjoy driving rather than concentrating on math.
