This gun was manufactured in 1890. It was a cheap shougun sold to farmers, for gettin then durn varmits, through their local drygoods and apothicary stores. Cost back then was about $4.00. I was cleaning all the rust off this along with an 1863 Sharps and a 1933 Remington model 12 .22.
The shotgun was in 3 pieces when I received it. Just need to make it whole so it can be displayed on a wall. I would not even use this to hit someone over the head. The barrel might crack or bend.
kind of like the stuff produced in China today
I have not been hunting in many, many years.
