I would just cary all your paper work with you (showing the paper work was in process) in case you get pulled over.
I personally never got a ticket when I was driving my Cobra, although I did get pulled over a few times going too fast or while laying down a couple of black tire marks. A little humility on my part and giving the Cop respect would end in at most, being told to "take it easy out there" but most of the time they just wanted to talk about the car.
