Default PCV Valve orientation, does it......
.....matter if it is horzontal or vertical?

I have a threaded PCV valve and instead of drilling and tapping the crank case cover plate to mate, why can't I screw the PCV valve into the port under the rear carb (blue thunder 2x4) and run the hose from there to the crank case cover plate, which already has a nipple on it.

Does it matter if the PCV valve is vertical or Horizontal?
