I would trust the MSD rev limiter more than the tach, but I haven't heard of any lag problems. Driving only customer's cars, I never go over 4500 rpm anyway - it wouldn't be easy to explain a thrown rod and I would only scare myself anyway...

The ERA logo problem is interesting - I don't know the best way to be subtle and obvious at the same time. Maybe with a dash plaque not unlike the original Shelby one.
