I have a GTD, and that is a GTD. For certain. Now that's not a bad thing it is what it is. It looks pretty nicely completed finish wise.
The questions to ask are:
1. What brake system is on the car? The original Granada brakes would remove value form the car unless the buyer ONLY wants to street drive the car at near legal speeds.
2. Renault gearboxes are not a bad thing either. The questions to ask are, has it been upgraded to a one piece input shaft and if so who's parts and workmanship. Also does it have a LDS or some sort of limited slip. If so what type? What is the final drive ratio? If it is a 3.44 then it is a R21 and the most desired. Also what type of clutch. If it has a big bell housing and can use Ford clutch parts and flywheels then that's a big plus. There are ways to make the small Renault clutch work with 400hp but a stock Renault clutch will give up at about 275HP. That is too much motor for a standard R21 with a standard Renault clutch. There are no "race" Renault R21's but a properly modded one can handle up to 450hp. The standard R21 is reliable at about 300hp.
3. Does it have any suspension mods, such as a lowered gearbox via a rear sub frame mod. Or a rear geometry camber change mod to correct the large standard camber gain issue.
If it has a one piece input shaft and LSD, upgraded brakes such as wilwoods and a good setup on the suspension then about 60K is a good price.
The last thing is SB100 California registration? yes/no current state of registration? Yes SB100 = Big +
I don't know this car but it does seam to have a nice clean look. An equally fit out RCR with a porsche gearbox would be worth 90-100K.
You can't buy the parts for either at those prices.
