I am going with your suggestion of R/S with cling wrap to prep the rail joint. Then with either the Felpro blue stripe or Felpro rubber (I will probably give the blue stripe another crack). R/S to glue the gasket to the cover and then hot sauce for the gasket to head seal.
Actually, Elmariachi Jim is sending me a tube of brown OG grease and then I will use that for the gasket-head seal.
I didn't do either the rail joint prep or use the right grease last time, so hopefully that solves the issue.
Maybe Patrickt will let me try his new tool since I will check my lash at the same time.
