You can over-worry this stuff. Use the feelers and the more you do it the more natural and faster it gets. Plus you will improve the accuracy by feel. Every-day engine builders do this in under 10 minutes. And they are accurate.

In case you're doing each cylinder 90 deg around the firing order, there's a much faster way. If you know this already, I apologize-just trying to help ya.

Set #1 cylinder to TDC compression and adjust the following valves:
#1-I & E. #3-I. #4-E. #5-E. #7-I. #8 I & E.
Set #6 cylinder to TDC compression and adjust the following valves:
#2-I & E. #3-E. #4-I. #5-I. #6-I & E. #7-E.

I just saved ya $250 so put that towards a Patek for your Ms
