A lot depends on what engine you plan on using and what emissions you have to comply with. The easiest way to get a compliant engine is buy a late model wreck from the auctions and use as much of the factory parts as you can .
but if emissions are not a problem then a crate engine from the states is good value at the moment.but you still have to get it running with all the accessories. plus a flywheel clutch gearbox and the list goes on.
